Derek Shapiro is a well established painter and has had solo exhibitions in various parts of the UK as well as the South African Embassy and Westzaan in the Netherlands. After starting a career as a freehand painter for Coalport China, part of the world famous Wedgwood Group, producing prototypes and one off pieces in the pottery industry, he now works freelance and switched solely to painting in oil on panels and canvas. His work is very diverse and he is considered an all rounder changing at whim whatever the subject genre.
