Tulips and Origami Crane

£120

Janet Tod is known for her vibrant, colourful still life paintings and in recent years oriental pots have become a bit of an obsession – sparked by a Japanese pot that belonged to her grandmother. The series of limited edition Giclee prints are from original paintings created using the paint left on her palette at the end of the day!

Janet studied painting at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, and was later awarded a one-year British Council International Post Graduate Scholarship to study painting.

Publications include ‘Bring a burst of colour to your still lifes’ article about her work in Artists & Illustrators magazine, and, ‘Students of Hospitalfield: Education and Inspiration in 20th Century Scottish Art’, published by Sansom & Co. Her paintings are in the University of Dundee Collection and private and corporate collections. Commissions include original screenprints for the P&O cruise liner Aurora.

Janet has held several successful one-person exhibitions in London and exhibited throughout the UK including the RA Summer Exhibition and as a member of the Royal Glasgow Institute, Paisley Art Institute and South London Women Artists.
