Jean-Louis Vincent Farmer is a figurative artist who works primarily in oils, charcoal and pastel on a wide range of subject matter including land- and seascapes, industry, interiors and portrayals of everyday life, He draws inspiration especially from his travels, the beauty of the landscape around his  home in Sandhurst, Kent, and work in the offshore oil and gas industry. To all of his genres he applies a common vision and approach, being drawn to the architectural qualities of structures and spaces, and the ways in which these interact with light to create a sense of drama or mystery.
