Liquid Fish Monoprint
Deborah Withey creates work that is meant to be interpretive, ethereal, and textural. She is not about duplicating what she sees, but about making an expression of it. Serendipity excites her and is why she make monoprints.
Planning what she’d like to see after I pull the print is not always what I get and that propels me to experiment further with colour, line, movement and form. My extended career is as an awarding-winning creative director in publishing. I continue to express that level of energy in my work.
