Kimmeridge Ledge Ammonite 3
Caz Scott trained in fine art at the Arts University Bournemouth and now works as a full-time artist dividing her time between her Dorset studio and Falmouth, Cornwall.
“I believe there isn’t a place that compares to the one where the world has come alive to you, where you know every rock, every path, and now all these images are held so clearly in my mind.”
Caz creates exciting vibrant images that depict her response and deep emotional attachment to her surroundings. She spends long periods walking, observing and sketching across the South-West. She is motivated by the dramatic landforms and wildness of the coast and moorland often returning to familiar places as well as seeking new inspiration.
Her paintings aim to simplify the complexity of the landscape, drawing out the image and building and balancing shape and colour to reflect the strength and uniqueness and beauty of the scenery.
